Christina Chan

Christina Chan is a Taiwanese-American author, illustrator, graphic novelist, and Recreation Leader at Stough Canyon Nature Center. She is a graduate of The Children’s Book Academy, The Institute of Children’s Literature, and a member of SCBWI and Kids Comic Unite. After visiting Baldassare’s underground home herself, she was deeply inspired by his story, self-taught skills, and incredible work that still stands to this day. This will be her debut picture book.

The stories she likes to tell:
Picture books: whimsical and introspective. 
Non-fiction picture books: narrative biographies about forgotten people/events in American history, especially about immigrants. 
Middle grade: action adventure.
Graphic Novels: wacky and quirky humor.
